Name & Age:

Meghana Moya, 30

Professional Title:

Co-Founder of Spice Madam - a global spice subscription box & lifestyle brand.

A little background:

I was born in Bangalore, India and grew up in Bahrain, an island in the Persian Gulf off the coast of Saudi Arabia. My decision to leave the Middle East to pursue my Business Degree at TCU in Texas made me a first generation immigrant to the United States.

I have always been passionate about food, travel & entrepreneurship; and I came up with the idea for the Spice Madam business model after getting multiple requests from friends around the world to share my spices and recipes with them.

Tell us about your top beauty regimens and tips?

I’ve learned over the years that simple is best! Two must-haves for keeping my skin youthful and fresh (especially with long work hours!) are Vitamin C serum & Embrylolisse Lait-Crème Concentré for my face. You can find both on Amazon, and a little goes a long way.
The Vitamin C is great to apply underneath your face lotion – it helps brighten and freshen your skin. The Ebryolisse is my favorite face moisturizer that I’ve ever used. It goes on light but makes your skin feel so smooth – in fact, my wedding makeup artist used it as a primer for my makeup on my big day!

What are your favorite local DFW beauty brands or beauty related services?

Trisha Rachal of TnineC for flawless makeup & over-the-top creative nail art! Her eye for detail and colors will have you looking like a queen every time.

What are your favorite patios in the DFW?

The outdoor patio at the Palomino & the lovely poolside patio at Hotel Zaza – I especially love that both are walking distance from me!

If you could have dinner with any local DFW woman, who would it be?

Nina Vaca, CEO of Pinnacle Group (which was named the Fastest-Growing Women-Owned Business in the country last year).  Like me, Nina is an immigrant to the US (she was born in Ecuador) and we both started our own businesses in our mid-20's. She has made a great impact in the DFW business community & beyond; and it would be an honor to meet her for dinner, talk about her experiences & learn about her “Women in Business Leadership” initiative.

Any last words for our DFW beauties?

Spend 2-5 minutes at the start of every day thinking about the blessings in your life that you are thankful for. Then make a list of all the big measurable goals you want to achieve that day & rank them by priority. These 2 simple things will set the tone for your day – balancing gratitude with actionable ambition makes for a powerful combination in every leading lady!
