DFW Beauty Guide - Michelle and Sayra of Bracha

Name & Ages:

Sayra Carpenter, 37 -  Michelle Carranza, 27

Professional Titles:

Jewelry Designers at Bracha  + Boss Girls + Moms

A little background:

Sisters originally born and raised in El Paso Texas, we come from a large Mexican/American family where most of the men in the family were self made entrepreneurs, starting with our maternal grandfather.  So we can say business was a very Inate part of us growing up. Our love of jewelry comes from our grandmother who always wore some fab pieces and would gift them to us.  We are both married and have one kiddo.  We love having music while we create on rotation Hillsong or Bethel, Taylor Swift, JT, and a little country.

Sayra:

I consider it a huge blessing to get the opportunity to work with my little sister and best friend doing something that leads to bringing hope and freedom to other women and children around the world.  I love chips and guacamole (yes I know its extra!).

Michelle:

I have worked retail since I can remember. Started as early as I was allowed. I did fashion merchandising for Dillard's and gained a lot of retail knowledge and experience early on. I attended UNT to be a part of their buyers program, and one of my biggest dreams was to be a buyer for Nordstrom,  but God had other plans!

Beauty regimens and tips?

It’s true what they say, consistency is key and always take off your makeup before going to sleep. We currently use  Renee Rouleau skin care products.  We cleanse, exfoliate, moisturize at night and throw in a skin brightening serum every other night. It's a skin care regimen we stick to and have seen the most improvement with.

Michelle:

My personal fave right now is their anti-cyst treatment, it helps with those stubborn pimples that won't go away and are deep under the skin. Yuck, I know, luckily this will vanish them over night!

Sayra:

I’m a product junkie and always in the pursuit of the J.Lo glow.  My must-have product is concealer and I'm currently using Kevin Aucoin. I put it on with  the Artis brush (where had it been all my life)!

Its fun being a girl!

What are your fav local DFW beauty brands or beauty related services?

On the calendar we have a monthly appointment for lash extensions. That's one beauty service we can't go without. Our lash technician Rachel Jones from Fabulash in Dallas is the best and we would highly recommend. Its the one thing that makes us say, “I woke up like this” LOL . Bellacures is great for manicures and going to Kickboxing classes is fun at 9 Rounds.

Tell us a bit about your accessory line, what are your favorite pieces?

We like to say its a natural and glam line. Born out of the desire to bring awareness about human trafficking and how it affects us locally. It truly is an expression of what inspires us and what we would wear. We use all natural stones on the handcrafted and designed pieces. We are advocates of being authentic so natural stones are the obvious choice to design with.

Michelle:

My favorite piece is the Dream cuff its on all day everyday, some times 5 at a time.

Sayra:

Well that’s a hard question since if we would not wear it, it would not make the cut, but if I really had to pick, it would be the dream ring and anything in our CZ collection like the "darling bracelet”.

If you could have dinner with any local DFW woman, who would it be?

Dallas has such beautiful and inspiring women that to be totally honest, we could not pinpoint just one. We love making new amigas so… when's dinner?

Any last words for our DFW beauties?

Even though its been said before, we couldn’t agree more, inner beauty always shines through. So be yourself because you are enough!  Like mama says...

God does not make mistakes.

It’s easy to get caught up in social media and compare your chapter 1 to their chapter 10, but it's a trap, a mental and an emotional trap.  Comparison kills confidence... and BABY confidence looks good on you!
