Give us a little background.
Born and raised in Dallas, and have recently returned from a 10 year stint in Los Angeles and London. It's good to be home! Currently am living in the Lakewood area with my boyfriend and 3 adopted fur babies. My hobbies and passions are: Fashion, painting, travel, and animals. I started my style blog, Fashionveggie, at first as a way to become more eco-conscious myself when it comes to shopping; now I love hearing that others are inspired as well.
What are your beauty regimens and tips?
I should probably do more, but I keep it pretty simple: I do hot yoga twice a week, drink a LOT of water, and eat a plant-based diet.
Oh, and because I do like to change up my hair color pretty often, I swear by an at-home treatment called Olaplex once a week to prevent damage.
Favorite local beauty brands and/or beauty related services?
I love CorePower yoga studios; their classes involve more cardio than some other studios I've tried.
I get my manicures at MiniLuxe, where they have a 5-free manicure available with Bio Seaweed gel... It's the best.
I get my hair styled at Tangerine Salon (the new Dallas location) because of their amazing customer service (backrubs, champagne, clean and calming surroundings), and because of how eco-friendly they are-- they are partnered with Aveda, so none of their products are tested on animals!
Being such a stylish DFW Beauty... What are your must-have fall accessories?
No matter what season it is, I have Too Faced "Melted" long wear lipstick on me... it is amazing, and is an eco-friendly brand available at Sephora.
If I could have dinner with any local DFW woman who it would it be, and why?
It would be my friend Brittany York.
She owns Milk & Honey and Lion & Witch (opened: July of '15) boutiques, and is an amazing blend of artistic, sensitive, and a shrewd business woman. She is so busy with her new store right now... I doubt she is even making time to eat dinner though!
Any last words or pieces of inspiration for our DFW Beauties?
"We are our choices."
We can be amazing people on the inside... and I am someone who believes that most people are good. The goal, for me at least, is to make your inside match your outside; have your beautiful and mindful choices reflect who you are and who you want to be. NAMASTE. Haha, just kidding.
