DFW Beauty Review: NKD SKN

We all know how bad the sun can damage our skin, but what’s a girl to do when she wants a good glow?!

Thanks to Vita Liberata, we have an answer. They created an amazing product called NKD SKN. Not only does it look good, but it feels good too! I was lucky enough to get to know their entire product line thanks to one of their reps, who came to Dallas. Being a ginger, I was rather skeptical, but this was actually created by the Irish, so I had to try it out. I used the Medium Tint Mousse; here is my review:

Color

The color is amazing and gradually builds up in the 4-6 hours after applying it. It doesn’t leave you looking orange at all!

Smell

There is virtually no smell. It does have a slight scent, but it doesn’t leave the stench behind thattraditional fake tanners do.

Ingredients

NKD SKN is all natural and organic. Not only does it make you look good, but it is actually nourishing your skin. Talk about a two-in-one!

Dry Time

It dries very fast, so you can put it on and walk out the door. Perfect for a girl on the go.

Fade

It is made to fade naturally, so it doesn’t leave you streaky or splotchy.

Tips when using:

Take a paper towel and wet it. Lightly brush it over your knees, elbows, and ankles. Because it gradually grows, you don’t want it to grow more in these areas; otherwise, it will leave you looking a lot darker in those places

Apply this and night before you go to sleep, so you can get up and shower. I would not recommend doing anything like working out the next day without doing so. It will come off and get on your clothes. Luckily it does wash out, but can still be embarrassing. This is especially important for Texas girls- we can walk outside a heat wave is upon us. Wouldn’t want to melt off the top layer of a tan!

Buy the larger mitt. It comes with a small mitt, but trust me the bigger one works better! So would I take or leave this product? It is a definite take in my book! I recently tested it out by wearing it on my trip to Hawaii. Not only did I arrive a bronze goddess, but it naturally went away (even with sunscreen application and salt water), only to leave the little tan I got and a lot of freckles.
