Name & Age:

Jordan Payne, 36

Professional Title:

Global Wedding Planner & Designer of Jordan Payne Events

A little background:

Native Texan from Denison! I was a girly girl (ok, I was a tomboy for a short period of time) who played softball with bright pink bows in her hair from the age of 7 and played all through high school and 1 year of college, grew up on a ranch and have loved fashion & style since I was young! Can you say sequin blouses while riding my horses... Well, that was me!

I met my husband Josh at 19, in Lake Texoma and the rest, as they say, was history.

I am a type A, design loving, decorating obsessed, blonde hair, blue eyed, energetic mom of 2. I have been planning and designing weddings for 11 years. Jordan Payne Events is based in Dallas, but plans and designs worldwide.

Beauty is a huge part of the wedding world...every bride wants to look her most beautiful on her wedding day!

Planning weddings is a huge part of my life, but giving back is as well. Each year I partner with the Salvation Army for their annual Echelon dinner and gala as well as the Dallas Cowboys Wives Association benefiting local women & children’s centers.

Beauty regimens and tips?

I am not obsessive when it comes to my skin, which is VERY dry, but I am, however, huge on cleansing and using anti-aging moisturizer under my eyes and face. I do this once a day with an occasional extra application of moisturizer if I am feeling like a desert.

I drink 3 liters of water a day which I feel is very important to keeping a glow! I also feel (as much as it stinks) genetics play a huge part in your skin and aging. My mother and grandmother both have aged gracefully with minimal wrinkles so let’s just say I pray this is the case for me.

What are your fav local DFW beauty brands and/or beauty related services?

I get my facials at Renee Rouleau which are always important! I try and get one each month, but with my busy schedule, this sometimes can altar. I love the Ritz Carlton Spa, they have the BEST pedi you will ever have. Be sure to ask for Bryan!

I also love a fabulous airbrush tan... Simply Glowing is my favorite for this type of service. Kari is my go to girl when I need a beautiful sun-kissed bronzed glow!

This month we're focusing on ALL things "Bridal Beauty" care to share some of your BEST tips?

Exercise, drink lots of water, I think a photo facial is great if you want to rid of sun spots or redness and get at least 8 hours of sleep each night. This regimen is EXTREMELY important the weeks leading up to the wedding day.

If you could have dinner with any local DFW woman, who would it be?

Hands down, Laura Bush! I love her giving heart and her poise. She is so classy and timeless. She has been an invited guest to several of my weddings as well as charity events and I just think she is the definition of class.

Any last words, pieces of wisdom or inspiration for our DFW beauties?

Pamper yourself often!

Every woman needs an hour or two just to herself each week or as often as she can. Never before have women worked so hard, juggling work, family, etc. so taking a timeout often is important! And most importantly choose HAPPINESS, live happy! My faith is where I find my joy, followed by my family and then  my career. It makes me genuinely happy. Being happy helps you age slower too (*wink).
