DFW Beauty Guide: Hair Trends with Chanelle B.

Hey beauties, 'tis the season to fall in love with hair and DFWBG is here to share the most current and bangalicious hairstyles that are trending.

We took some time away from procrastinating and re-writing our Christmas list to consult with hair / beauty expert Chanelle Brooks to educate us on how to accomplish her top 3 favorite hairstyles. Chanelle is a young visionary with a number of experienced years in the hair industry and dedicates her free time perfecting her craft. Take a glimpse into her latest hair campaign which demonstrates a vivid visual of each look captured by photographer Kauwaune Burton, makeup application Glam by Cham, and styled by moi.

1.     The Blonde Bob (modeled by Saceria)

This look was accomplished with hair from the Outre Duvessa Remi Extensions collection in the 613 color. The model’s hair was set, molded, and dried with minimal leave out and the extensions were applied with a popular bonded technique called Quickweave. I wanted a sexy yet edgy look, so I utilized a razor as my hair tool to avoid hard lines and polished with a soft edgy finish.

2.     Bang Wig Unit (modeled by Brittany)

This look was accomplished by using extensions from the Outre Duvessa Remi collection in a #4. The hair was customized into a wig unit which was bonded to a cap. A razor was also used to add layered tresses and scissors to define the bluntness of the bangs.

3.     The Taraji P Henson Blunt Cut (modeled by Trace)

This was inspired by the latest spread in Essence Magazine of Taraji P. Henson’s popular blunt cut bob. This was also colored jet black and customized into a wig unit using Indian Wavy Chanelle B Hair Collection. The hair offered a great texture adding fullness and body to the look.

This entire campaign was inspired by the mixture of rich earth tones, neutral colored palettes, bold lipsticks, and blunt hairstyles that tie into the Fall theme making it the most favorable and popular season of the year.

If you’d like to be brave and go bold with your next look you can book an appointment with her February 2016 at www.styleseat.com/chanellebrooks.
