As an advocate against domestic violence for more than two decades, Daireds Salon & Spa Pangéa is encouraging locals to make purple beauty statements during Domestic Violence Awareness Month this October. Purple is the color that symbolizes taking a stand against domestic violence.
Throughout October, Daireds will offer purple temporary hair extensions ($15), Pangéa Manicures ($35), Pangéa Pedicures ($55) and Pangéa Gel Pedicures ($55) with a philanthropic purpose; a portion of sales will be given to SafeHaven of Tarrant County to support its mission to end domestic violence through safety, support, prevention and social change. Additionally, Daireds will sell raffle tickets ($1 each) for a $300 value gift basket of luxury hair products from Kérastase with sales benefiting SafeHaven.
Daireds will host a women’s situational safety seminar on Thursday, October 15 at 6:30 p.m. where a trained professional will teach attendees tips for personal safety. The seminar is free and open to the public, and an RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org is required. One lucky attendee’s name will be drawn to win a Pangéa Custom Massage.
WHERE: Daireds Salon & Spa Pangéa at 2400 West I-20 at Bowen Rd. in Arlington
WHY: One in four women will experience domestic violence in her lifetime. Daireds has been a supporter of putting an end to domestic violence for more than 20 years, as women make up the majority of their clientele base. Many of these women confide in their service provider, and too often, domestic violence has been an issue that comes up. Thus, the mission to help fight against this unfortunate reality is near and dear to the Daireds staff.
