NAME & AGE:
KRISTIN SMITH, 31
Personal Stylist, Owner of The CLAD Life, Mom
A LITTLE BACKGROUND:
I am originally from Florida. I've lived in DFW for over 5 years. I've been styling since I was a teenager before I knew that styling was a pofession. I would style my girlfriends for school dances help them with school clothes shopping as a hobby. I was a stylist at Saks in college until my parents made me quit because I was spending way more than I made. I took a brief hiatus from fashion to be a homemaker and have been professionally styling for 4 years. I feel incredibly fortunate to wok with amazing people and make a living doing something creative that I am so passionate about.
Describe a perfect day in the DFW?
I love to take my little man to Savor and let him run through the fountains in Klyde Warren Park. My favorite sundays start with a walk on the Katy Trail. A fabulous dinner with good friends and laughter is also top on my list. Dallas has so many great restaurants!
I am very non committal when it comes to beauty regimens. I am always willing to try new things. Beauty is like fashion, there are constant trends and I am always excited try new products and techniques. Two things I do religiously are moisturize and exfoliate. I also do a very mild peel a couple of time per week. I am also very committed to hairspray an dry shampoo!
Any favorite DFW beauty brands and/or beauty related services?
There are so many great services offered in DFW. I love a peel or other preventative skin treatment from Dr. Chris Crawford at Dallas Associated Dermatology. A custom airbrush spray tan is a must from Kari Lord at Simply Glowing. I only trust Leighanne Shelton at Balayage Dallas with my hair color!
Cupcake of Gelato? Go.
If you could have dinner with any local DFW woman, who would it be? Why?
Jan Strimple is someone I really respect as a business woman and fellow fashion devotee. She has such a genuine spirit and she always looks incredible!
