DFW Beauty Bombshell: Brittany Gaskill

DFW BEAUTY GUIDE - BRITTANY GASKILL

Name & Age:

Brittany Gaskill - 41

Professional Title:

Co-editor The Scout Guide Dallas

A little background:

I studied broadcast journalism at The University of Mississippi and worked in my hometown Abilene, Texas as a reporter and anchor 3 years. When I married in 1999, I moved to Dallas and started a career in public relations with Tucker & Associates representing luxury and beauty brands such as Skinceuticals and Lady Primrose Products.

I launched The Scout Guide Dallas in 2012 with my business partner and co-editor, Martha Griffin.

Any Beauty regimens and tips?

I was told at a young age to never go to sleep with make-up on. I wash my face morning and night with a gentle cleanser and eye cream is essential from Skinceuticals.

What are your go-to local beauty brands or beauty related services?

Before special events I go to Karina Laszlo at Salon Pompeo for a blow out and make up. She's AMAZING! The Spa at the Four Seasons is fantastic. I loved the experience recently on a girl's getaway.

What are your favorite DFW scouts?

For a fun day of shopping local, my favorite Scouted stores for the home, would be blue print to see their latest antiques and unique accessories. I am also always so inspired at Laura Lee Clark's beautiful showroom. Next, across the street is b.gover limited. Super cool and I always feel I'm on a treasure hunt for something for my in-laws ranch house. Canary is the best for the most fashionable finds in town. Their jewelry selection is awesome and Merry Vose has the best designers from all around the world.

Holidays are just about here...any local must-have items on your shopping list?

I'd love a new dress for holiday parties from Nardos Imam's new Cocktail Collection. They are all stunning!

Also, top of my Christmas list is a color block clutch by Charlotte Max at Canary.

If you could have dinner with any local DFW woman, who would it be?

Priscilla Shirer, I think she is such a gifted Bible Study teacher just like her father, Tony Evans.

Any last words, pieces of wisdom to share with our DFW Beauties?

Many women these days are brilliant at multitasking from juggling both a family, and a career. It's important to me that my husband and two boys be my first priority before anything else. After they are taking care of, I can be open to new and fun opportunities that have recently come my way.

My relationship with God helps me with day to day decisions and prayer is essential in my life.
